Patient Participation Groups

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients who are interested in health and healthcare issues, and who want to get involved with and support the running of their local GP practice. Most groups also include members of practice staff, and meet at regular intervals to discuss how to make a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the practice to its patients.

The CCG has PPG representatives on our Engagement Network. They tell us about the quality of local services using information from their PPG and also act as ‘messengers’ for the CCG by sharing updates about the work we are doing with their groups. Please speak to your GP practice if you would like to join your practice’s group.
