We are pleased to announce that Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been recognised as a happy and healthy workplace after being awarded the London Healthy Workplace Charter.
The London Healthy Workplace Charter, endorsed by the Mayor of London, is the first pan-London framework that supports and recognises investment in staff health and wellbeing by employers.
It provides a series of standards, such as mental health support, corporate support for wellbeing, physical activity and healthy eating, for employers to meet in order to help create a healthier and happier workplace.
Haringey CCG is the first CCG to receive the accreditation at ‘Achievement’ level.
Sarah Price, Chief Officer at Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved this award. Our employees are our greatest asset and so it is extremely important to support them as best we can to look after their health and wellbeing.
“We all work together as an organisation to create a pleasant, supportive environment that enables everyone to thrive and do their jobs well.”
Haringey CCG offers a range of health and wellbeing activities for staff, some of which are led by employees. Activities include lunchtime walks, knitting classes, meditation sessions and regular health checks.
