There was an impressive turnout from the local community at Haringey CCG’s public meetings on Thursday 10 October, which took place at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre.
The meetings, themed ‘Working Together’, focused on how we’re integrating health and care services at all levels across the system to improve outcomes for local people.
Residents and other community members were able to hear more about some of the amazing integrated care work happening in the North Tottenham area through the Local Area Co-ordinators, who support and empower residents to access a range of resources and services to improve their health and wellbeing.
Local GPs Dr Muhammed Akunjee and Dr Simon Caplan provided an overview of Haringey’s primary care networks and how this new way of working together amongst primary care, other health and care professionals and the voluntary sector will benefit patients and the local community.
Haringey CCG's Chief Operating Officer Tony Hoolaghan also shared an update on the plans to merge the five CCGs in North Central London.
Attendees had the opportunity to ask us questions and share their views on these initiatives too.
You can download the presentation slides, as well as, more information about Haringey's Local Area Co-ordination service, from the right hand side.
The meeting's feedback report is also available from the right hand side. The report includes the feedback we received from attendees, as well as the CCG’s responses to questions raised by attendees which we were unable to address at the meeting. The Questions and Answers are available to download as a separate document too.
This report has been shared with attendees from the meeting. We will produce an update soon to show how we've been able / not been able to use this feedback to inform our commissioning work.
Huge thanks to everyone who attended!
