Engagement Network

Engagement event group

The CCG Network is one of the ways in which the CCG involves patients and the public in Haringey, in accordance with its Engagement Strategy. This page will give you a bit more information about the Network.

Purpose

The purpose of the Network is to support a group of patients and the public to:

  1. Learn about health and health issues in Haringey
  2. Contribute to the CCG’s priorities, decision making, and quality improvements
  3. Act as ‘messengers’ to and from their groups and communities

Membership

The Network membership is a combination of community organisations and patients drawn from Haringey GP practices’ Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). Membership of the Network comprises:

  • PPG members (selected against transparent criteria)
  • Community group representatives - invited for relevance to protected characteristic or an identified collaborative issue (e.g. drug/alcohol dependence)
  • Patient representatives who have been recruited to CCG committees
  • Local Healthwatch representation
  • Representation from Haringey's voluntary and community sector umbrella organisation

Meetings

The Network will meet three or four times a year, around the annual commissioning cycle.
